Tracy Police rescued a Tracy woman from a hostage situation and arrested two men on a variety of charges, including kidnapping, on Friday afternoon.

Police responded to a home on the 1500 block of Lankershire Drive at 4:45 p.m. Friday for a report of a kidnap victim being held at gunpoint at the house. Officers and detectives from the general investigations unit and special investigations unit, with the department’s BearCat armored recovery vehicle, quickly arrived and surrounded the house.

Police also used an aerial drone to look over the house and surrounding area, and saw one of the suspects attempting to flee out of the back of the house. Police caught him right away, and a short time later another man and a woman, believed to be the victim, emerged from the front of the house.

Both men were arrested without further incident. Personnel from South San Joaquin County Fire Authority and American Medical Response treated the woman at the scene for minor injuries. Police noted that she had been kidnapped 2 days earlier and knows at least one of the suspects.

The two men are being held at San Joaquin County Jail pending a Tuesday court hearing in Manteca. Angel Lopez Gutierrez, 24, of Oakland, was booked on suspicion of kidnapping, false imprisonment, rape, and making threats, and was held on $1,075,000 bail. Gerado Tornero-Rosales, 26, from Livermore, was booked on suspicion of kidnapping, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, making threats and drug possession, and was held on $680,000 bail.
