Kalamazoo Police Rescue Kidnapped Child and Apprehend Suspect
Kalamazoo MI Police responded quickly and rescued a kidnapped child. The suspect was aprehended and is in custody.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Police ended their search for a missing child less than 30 minutes after it began Sunday, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
A child was kidnapped from an area near the intersection of South Burdick Street and East Cork Street around 10 p.m., the department said.
The victim reported that she was assaulted by a 22-year-old Kalamazoo man, and that the man took her 3-month-old child, police said.
With the assistance of Portage Department of Public Safety, officers quickly found the suspect with the child.
Police have not said where the child was found or who the alleged kidnapper is.
A Kalamazoo County resident was arrested and facing multiple felony charges, according to police. He was taken to the Kalamazoo County Jail.
The case has been turned over to the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor's Office.
Flock Technology was utilized in helping police track down the suspect.
